Cruise to a hidden Tamariu cove and anchor for breakfast at the beach bar — coffee, fresh pastries and the sea to yourselves.
Cala Marquesa is not listed on tourist maps, cannot be reached by road, and has no bar, no parasols, and no crowds — just a small golden-pebble cove tucked into the cliffs north of Tamariu, with water so clear you can count the stones on the bottom at four metres depth. The boat anchors stern-to the cliff in two metres of water, and a boarding ladder drops into the sea. From here, the cove is entirely yours.
The crew sets up a picnic table on deck or, in calm conditions, on a flat rock ledge at the waterline: antipasti, charcuterie, local cheese, pan con tomate, fresh fruit and chilled rosado sourced from a vineyard in the Empordà appellation just inland. Guests swim, snorkel, or simply lie in the sun while the skipper keeps an eye on the weather. This is the Costa Brava that existed before mass tourism — quiet, intimate, timelessly beautiful. The experience lasts 4–5 hours including the boat journey and can be combined with a morning cove-hopping leg.
