Gateway to the wild north

Sa Riera is the northernmost of Begur's beaches — a broad, friendly cove with good anchoring and a beach bar or two ashore. It marks the point where the sheltered coves give way to the more open, wilder water running north toward Pals.

Where the coast opens up

We often anchor here for an open swim before pushing on to Illa Roja and the northern run. It's a relaxed, sandy stop with room to spread out, and an easy place to step ashore for a drink in the sun.
